How to Ban Blooks in a Live Game
In some situations, you may want to limit which Blooks students can use during a live game. We allow hosts to ban specific Blooks so students can only choose from the options you approve.
This feature is available in all new live game modes and most updated legacy live game modes. If you don’t see the option in a specific game yet, it will be added soon.
How to Ban Blooks
Select a Question Set and click Host.
Choose a live game mode and click Host.
Scroll to the bottom of the Host Settings screen.
Find the Ban Blooks section and click Edit Blooks.
Choosing Which Blooks Are Allowed
After clicking Edit Blooks, you’ll see a window of free Blooks.
Click any Blook to toggle it on or off.
Enabled Blooks appear fully visible.
Disabled Blooks appear translucent and cannot be selected by students.
Once disabled, those Blooks will not appear as options for students when they join the game.
Disabling Custom Blooks
At the bottom of the Blooks menu, you’ll see a toggle for Custom Blooks.
Turn this toggle off to prevent students from using custom Blooks they have created.
Turn it on to allow custom Blooks.
Saving Your Changes
After making your selections:
Click Save to apply your Blook restrictions.
Your settings will apply to all students who join the game.
What Students Will See
-
Students will only see the free Blooks that you have left enabled.
Note: This setting controls the visibility of free Blooks only. Students can still use other Blooks they have collected from packs.
If Custom Blooks are disabled, students will not be able to use their custom creations.
Using the Ban Blooks setting gives you more control over how live games look and feel, helping you tailor the experience to your classroom’s needs.
