Assign a Question Set as Homework when you want students to complete it on their own schedule. Students follow the Homework link or QR Code, choose an available game mode, and answer questions until they meet the Correct Goal.
Choose a Question Set
You can begin a Homework assignment from a public Question Set or one of your own sets (even your private Question Sets).
Assign a Public Question Set
- Find a public Question Set and open its preview page.
- Select Assign HW.
Assign One of Your Question Sets
- Open My Sets.
- Find the Question Set you want to assign.
- Select Assign.
Set the Due Date and Assignment Options
- Select the due date field.
- Enter a date or choose one from the calendar.
- Enter a due time. The default time is 12:00 AM.
- Select OK.
Note: Blooket Starter (free) users can choose a due date up to 14 days in the future. Blooket Plus users can choose a due date up to 365 days in the future. Students cannot access the Homework after it closes.
Choose a Homework Goal
Choose how student progress will count toward completing the Homework:
| Goal Type | How It Works |
|---|---|
| Correct Answers | Students complete the Homework after answering the selected number of questions correctly. Incorrect answers do not count toward the goal. |
| Questions | Students complete the Homework after answering the selected number of questions, regardless of whether their answers are correct. |
Use Correct Answers when completion should depend on students answering a certain number correctly. Students who answer incorrectly will need to answer additional questions to reach the goal.
Use Questions when every student should answer the same total number of questions. Accuracy will still appear in the Homework results, but incorrect responses count toward completion.
Compare the selected goal with the number of questions in the Question Set:
- If the goal is lower than the number of questions in the set, students may not see every question before completing the Homework.
- If the goal is higher than the number of questions in the set, students will see questions more than once as they continue working toward the goal.
Choose a goal that gives students enough practice with the material you want them to review.
Choose Whether to Allow Student Accounts
Turn on Allow Student Accounts if you want students to log in with their Blooket accounts. Logged-in students can earn experience points and tokens while completing the Homework.
Students do not need Blooket accounts to participate. Anyone with the Homework link or QR Code can join, even when this setting is turned off.
Choose the Allowed Game Modes
Use Allow All Game Modes to control which games students can choose for the assignment.
- Turn on Allow All Game Modes to let students choose from every game mode available for Homework.
- Turn off Allow All Game Modes to choose specific game modes. Select each game you want to allow for the assignment.
Students will see only the game modes allowed by the assignment when they begin their Homework.
Create and Share the Homework
- Select Assign Now when the assignment is ready.
- Select the Homework link to copy it.
- Share the Homework link or QR Code with your students. You can post the link in your school’s learning management system (LMS), send it directly, or provide it through another class resource.
Students do not need Blooket accounts to complete Homework. If they are logged into an account, they will receive rewards.
What Students Will Do
After opening the link or scanning the QR Code, students will:
- Review the Homework details, including the due date and Correct Goal.
- Select Get Started.
- Choose one of the available Solo game modes.
- Enter a recognizable nickname.
- Play and answer questions until they meet the Correct Goal.
Use recognizable student names when you need to connect Homework results with specific students.
