How to Play Pirate Pool (Solo Game Mode)

Pirate Pool is part of Blooket’s growing lineup of solo game modes—a fun and physics-based game where players launch a striker puck to knock doubloons into scoring pockets and rack up points. With multiple levels, control options, and game modes, Pirate Pool is perfect for players who love puzzles, strategy, and satisfying trick shots.

Game Objective

Use your striker (a glowing puck with your selected Blook) to knock doubloons into kraken goals across the map. Score points based on how they land—bank shots, combos, and creative plays earn you bonus points!

Answer questions from your chosen set correctly to continue playing, and challenge yourself to get the highest score possible!

Game Modes

Survival Mode

• Keep playing as long as you can.
• Answer questions and score points until you run out of shots.
• Great for longer playing sessions.

Level Master Mode

• Select a specific level to play one at a time.
• Try to beat your own high scores and master each unique layout.
• Perfect for quick play sessions and replaying your favorite levels to improve over time.

Controls & Launching

You can choose between two control options based on your device:

Touchscreen Controls

• Touch/click and hold the striker.
• Drag Away (while holding down) to aim and power up your shot.
• Release to launch.

Mouse / Trackpad Controls

• Click once to select/activate the launcher.
• Move your mouse to aim and power your shot.
• Click again to launch.

Use the aiming guides to preview your shot trajectory. The further back you pull, the stronger and faster your shot.

Note: When your striker is ready to fire, it will pulse and glow to indicate that it’s active.

Navigating the Map

• To explore the level map, click and drag the map when the cursor looks like a compass.
• After a short pause, the camera will automatically recenter over your striker.

• To view the entire level map, click the zoom button.
• After a short pause or click, the camera will zoom and recenter over your striker.

Game Layout and Mechanics

• Your striker puck is customized with your selected Blook.
• Doubloons are scattered across the board, ready to be knocked into scoring pockets.
• Each level has different layouts, offering unique doubloons, items, strategies, and challenges.
• Scoring pockets are Kraken-themed, and can be found in corners or mid-board depending on the level.
• Every doubloon or jewel scored increases your shots available.
• A pirate star appears near your trackers when you’re on a hot streak!

Answering Questions

Throughout gameplay, you’ll be prompted to answer questions from your question set. Answer correctly to keep playing!

Scoring & Bonuses

• Earn points by successfully knocking doubloons into Kraken pockets.
• Bonus points are awarded for bank shots and combos.
• At the end of a level, you'll receive bonus points based on how many unused shots you had left and if the pirate star is still showing.

Settings & Accessibility

• Use the checkered flag icon in the top-right corner to end the game early or return to the menu.
  • Main Menu: Choose between Survival or Level Master
  • Exit: Ends the game immediately, taking you to the game report screen
  • Cancel: Returns to the active game

• Tap the gear icon to adjust music, sound effects, and accessibility settings.

Tips & Tricks

• Use the aiming guide to estimate angles, bank shots, and rebounds.
• Focus on knocking multiple doubloons into pockets with one strike for combo points.
• Pay attention to item behavior—ice slides much further than the others.
• Try mastering every level in Level Master mode for an added challenge.
• Share your high scores and favorite levels with friends!
