Understanding Mastery Mode in Blooket Curriculum

Mastery Mode makes it easier than ever for students to build understanding over time, without needing to finish everything in one sitting. Your progress is tracked and saved when you end a game so you can jump back in anytime and keep working toward full mastery.

Note: Mastery progress is only saved for Blooket Curriculum Sets

How to Start a Mastery Session

To begin tracking your progress:

1. Go to the Discover page.

2. Click into the Curriculum section by selecting a subject.

3. Select a Question Set or pick up where you left off by selecting the button at the top of the page.

4. Click Play Solo.

Your progress will now be tracked automatically as you play and saved when you end a game.

Note: Mastery progress is only saved when you select the "end game" option (checkered flag) while playing Curriculum sets in Solo mode, not Homework.

How Mastery Progress Works

As you play:

  • Your Mastery percentage increases as you answer questions correctly
  • Your progress is tracked automatically and viewable

  • You can save progress by selecting "End Now"

This means you don’t need to complete a set in one sitting. Your progress builds over time.

How to Continue Where You Left Off

Return to a curriculum set you’ve already started to continue mastery progress.

Go back to the Curriculum page or navigate directly to play.blooket.com/solo

  1. Find the set with your saved progress
  2. Click Play Solo again

You’ll continue working toward mastery from your previous progress.

How to View Your Mastery Progress

You can track your progress in multiple places:

  • On the Curriculum page
  • When selecting a set in Solo mode

Each set shows a percentage, so you always know how close you are to full mastery.

What Happens When You Reach Mastery

Once you fully master a set:

  • A completion modal will appear
  • You can choose to switch to a new Question Set immediately

This lets you keep playing and learning without restarting your session.

How to Choose a Set in Solo Mode

If you enter Solo mode without selecting a set:

  1. You’ll be prompted with a Curriculum selection modal
  2. Choose a set to begin or continue progress
  3. Tip: Hover over a set to view the mastery breakdown

You’ll also see your saved progress for any sets you’ve already started.

Important Notes

  • Mastery tracking only applies to Blooket Curriculum sets for Students
  • Progress is saved only in Solo mode
  • Homework assignments do not use Mastery tracking

Mastery Mode turns practice into visible progress. Jump in, keep going, and watch your mastery grow every time you play.
